Inktober 2019 #4: Freeze
steam rises from
my cup of cappucino
while I watch
the world pass me by
I take a sip
and burn my tongue
much like how
you burned me
with your late night
caresses
under a blushing moon
I sprinkle some
cinnamon and nutmeg
the aroma reminds me
of your cologne
one of the reasons
I don't frequent
coffee shops
or spice stores
the sultry South wind
brings light rainshowers
even as the sun shines
I get drenched but
I don't mind
there could be
nothing colder
than this heart
you left behind.

Very nice writing, indeed. I love the way it all just simply seems to flow...; too, the powerful expression of heated 'emotions'...! ;-)
