                    the ground shakes
                    rumbling, tumbling
                    heat increases
                    expanding
                    filling hollow chests
                    to bursting


third contact
                   full impact
                   the skies burn
                   as lips meet
                   silky smooth
                   chapped and rough
                   no matter
                   the world ignites
                   as tongue fences
                   against tongue


immolation
                  earth on fire
                  oxygen deprivation
                  drowning in the haze
                  as hands pull
                  each other closer
                  teeth biting down
                  on lips quivering


embers
                  the aftermath
                  the earth smolders
                  breathless
                  giddy and laughing
